6TH CLASS

Ready for what comes next

Sixth Class is a special year at Scoil Chríost Rí — a year of challenge, opportunity, leadership and lasting memories. We encourage our pupils to become increasingly independent, to take responsibility, to try new things and to make the most of their final year in primary school.

LEARNING IN 6TH CLASS

A year to grow

In Sixth Class, pupils build on the knowledge, skills and confidence developed throughout their primary school years. We combine high expectations with engaging, purposeful learning that encourages children to think critically, ask questions, collaborate and take increasing ownership of their learning.

Alongside the Primary School Curriculum, pupils have opportunities to develop their digital skills, creativity, communication and problem-solving — helping prepare them for the transition to post-primary school and the opportunities ahead.

OPPORTUNITIES

More than a final year

Sixth Class is a year for discovering new interests, taking on challenges and putting learning into action. We want our senior pupils to experience opportunities that build confidence, independence, creativity and a sense of possibility.

JUNIOR ENTREPRENEUR

From idea to enterprise.

Through the Junior Entrepreneur Programme, pupils develop creativity, teamwork and real-world skills as they explore ideas and experience the process of bringing a small business project to life.

CREATIVE OPPORTUNITIES

Space to imagine.

Through art, music, drama, performance and creative projects, pupils have opportunities to express themselves, explore their talents and experience the confidence that comes from creating something of their own.

ERASMUS+

Learning beyond borders.

As an Erasmus+ registered school, we are developing opportunities to connect, collaborate and learn with schools across Europe — broadening horizons and helping our pupils see themselves as part of a wider European community.

Students planning a Europe travel project with a world map, flags, books, photos, and notes about cultural differences, sustainability, and learning together.

DÚSLÁN CHRÍOST RÍ

Challenge yourself.

Dúslán Chríost Rí encourages our senior pupils to step outside their comfort zones, try new things, contribute to their community and recognise what they can achieve through commitment and perseverance.

OUR SENIOR PUPILS

Leadership starts with how we treat others

As the senior pupils in Scoil Chríost Rí, Sixth Class are encouraged to lead by example and play an active role in the life of our school.

Leadership at Scoil Chríost Rí is not simply about being in charge. It is about responsibility, kindness, initiative and recognising the contribution we can make to others.

A YEAR TO REMEMBER

The moments they’ll take with them

Sixth Class is about much more than preparing for what comes next. It is also about enjoying the final chapter of primary school — friendships, shared experiences, celebrations, challenges and the everyday moments that become lasting memories.

Three sections with images and text about a school program. The first section shows children at a booth titled "Junior Entrepreneur," with a sign that says "Small Ideas Big Changes". The second section displays a person painting detailed artwork of a colorful bird on paper, with paints nearby. The third section features a group of children outdoors in front of a green banner that says "Dúslán Chríoch Rí."
