LEARNING
Curious minds. Confident learners.
At Scoil Chríost Rí, we want every child to experience the joy of learning, to be challenged at the right level and to develop the confidence to explore, question and discover.
Our classrooms combine strong foundations in literacy and numeracy with creativity, collaboration, problem-solving and rich learning experiences across the curriculum.
OUR APPROACH
Learning that lasts
01 — STRONG FOUNDATIONS
Building the essentials.
We place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, giving children the knowledge, skills and confidence on which future learning is built.
02 — ACTIVE LEARNING
Learning by doing.
Children are encouraged to investigate, create, discuss, collaborate and solve problems — becoming active participants in their own learning.
03 — EVERY CHILD
Challenge and support.
We recognise that every child learns differently. Teaching is responsive to individual strengths and needs, with appropriate support and challenge to help every pupil progress.
LEARNING IN SCOIL CHRÍOST RÍ
Learning that goes beyond the classroom
Learning at Scoil Chríost Rí extends far beyond textbooks. Through music, sport, the arts, digital learning, outdoor experiences, leadership and community involvement, pupils have opportunities to discover their interests, develop their talents and experience success in many different ways.
OUR APPROACH TO LEARNING
Curious minds. Confident learners.
EXPLORE
Learning begins with curiosity.
We encourage children to ask questions, explore ideas and develop a genuine love of learning.
GROW
Challenge with support.
High expectations are balanced with encouragement and care, helping every child to build strong foundations, recognise their strengths and experience success.
FLOURISH
Confidence for what comes next.
We want our pupils to become capable, independent and confident learners — ready to embrace new challenges and the next stage of their education.
LEARNING IN PRACTICE
From play to possibility
Our approach to learning grows with our pupils. In the early years, playful and active learning gives children rich opportunities to explore, communicate, create and make sense of the world around them.
As pupils progress through the school, learning becomes increasingly independent and collaborative, with opportunities to investigate, problem-solve, think critically and make meaningful connections across the curriculum.
In our senior classes, pupils also have opportunities to experience Modern Foreign Languages, developing an awareness of other languages, cultures and the wider world.
