CENTRE FOR AUTISM

A place to belong

A place to thrive

Our Centre for Autism provides a nurturing, inclusive and supportive learning environment where each child is known, understood and encouraged to flourish.

As part of the wider Scoil Chríost Rí community, our pupils are supported to learn, communicate, build relationships, develop independence and participate meaningfully in school life.

OUR APPROACH

Every child

Every strength

01 — INDIVIDUAL

Learning that starts with the child.

We recognise each pupil’s individual strengths, interests, communication style and learning needs, providing appropriate support and meaningful opportunities for progress.

02 — BELONGING

Belonging to one school community.

Inclusion is about genuine participation and belonging. Opportunities to learn, play, celebrate and connect with peers across the school are supported in ways that are appropriate for each child.

03 — SUPPORTIVE

The right support at the right time.

Predictable routines, supportive relationships and carefully considered environments help our pupils feel secure, develop confidence and engage successfully in learning.

Our approach begins with the individual child — recognising strengths, responding to needs and creating the conditions in which every pupil can belong, participate and progress.

ONE SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Together, in ways that work

Pupils attending our Centre for Autism are valued members of the Scoil Chríost Rí community. We seek meaningful opportunities for connection and participation throughout the school day, guided by the strengths, needs and wellbeing of each individual child.

From shared learning and play to music, sport, celebrations, assemblies and school events, inclusion is approached thoughtfully and individually.

Our aim is simple: that every child feels safe, valued, included and proud to belong to Scoil Chríost Rí.
